Ira Glass on Creative Work

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across a video of This American Life host, Ira Glass, chatting candidly about some of the challenges he faced early in his career. His sentiment was especially timely, as I am beginning to branch into printmaking and have been producing some less than stellar results, which I shall now blame on my good tastes. However it is encouraging to know that even someone as successful as Ira dealt with many of these same issues and gives me reason to perservere.

Lucinda Williams @ Deer Valley

Last night we had the pleasure of seeing country rock pioneer and veteran Lucinda Williams perform. Lucinda still has it, staying true to her roots, and even stuck one by Fats Domino into the encore. Although, she needs to give up the “Peace, Love, & Revolution” talk, especially at Deer Valley.
